Experience Trophy Sheep Hunting at its Finest!
Destination:
We will be hunting just out of Anchorage in the Chugach mountains famous for its ability to grow big rams. This area is non-motorized and we either walk in or can arrange to use horses. This is a limited draw hunt and you must have a contract prior to applying before the Dec 15 Deadline.
The Hunt:
You and your guide will head out with a light spike camp to check out main and side drainages known to hide big rams. A typical day in this area will have you looking at several bands of rams each day in search of your trophy ram. I have personally guided for around 30 sheep in this area. All of the rams my hunters have taken have measured over 38” and scored over 159” B&C. I have helped one lucky hunter take a 40” ram scoring 166”s. This is the area to hunt for monster dall rams there are 40” plus , 170” Boone and Crockette rams taken in the area nearly every year.. The population of legal rams is high and my guides and I know the places to find them. A lot of time is spent preseason scouting for trophy rams within these areas. Our guides are very knowledgeable in sheep habits and behavior. They are young, experienced, and ready to do whatever it takes to get you your ram. Sometimes the difference between getting a great ram and just an average ram is having a guide that is willing to go over the next mountain. All of our guides posses the latest in equipment, making field judging, packing, and just living in sheep country much more comfortable. For us and our guides, sheep hunting is not a job but an obsession.
